Kendall County Cowboy Church Joins Advisory Council

Welcome to our newest member of the Advisory Council - Kendall County Cowboy Church! The Council meets quarterly and consists of representatives of our supporting churches. This groups allows for accountability for HCPCC and direct input from our churches. Call Diana if your church would like to participate and get quarterly updates on programs and services. Meetings are at local churches and lunch is provided.

Volunteer of the Year

The Volunteer of the Year for 2012 is Claire Kreifels. She is married to Danny Kreifels and they have four adult children. Claire currently enjoys the role of Grandmother and often shares her precious pictures with our staff. She attends Curry Creek Baptist Church where she is an active member and also works in a church preschool. Claire has volunteered at the Center since October 2009 as a lay counselor, assisting our clients with pregnancy tests and other services. She is a faithfull servant of our ministry, coming on Wednesday afternoons sharing her gentle and compassionate spirit. Claire helps us with many projects at the Center as well as inputing data into our computer. Where she really shines however, is when she is sharing her heart and faith with our clients, whether it’s a pregnancy test or a parenting class. Claire’s gentleness puts our clients at ease and confidence in the services they receive here. Claire is a joy to have as part of our ministry making her Wednesdays special for us all.

Nanny’s Closet and Boutique

Our volunteers have been busy making sure we have enough diapers, baby clothes and other items in our Nanny’s Closet and Boutique. Volunteers are always needed to help track what items we are in need of, setting out what we have and sorting and cleaning gemntly used donated items. These assets greatly help members of our community…and it takes a village as they say! Would you or one of the groups you are involved with like to help in this area? We’d love to have you join us!
